Patina Maldives
North Malé Atoll
Conscious urban retreat
Patina Maldives is a sleek, environmentally conscious, luxury resort designed by Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan, offering an idyllic setting for those who seek freedom of spirit with a focus on health, wellness, and rejuvenation. Surrounded by pristine, azure waters Patina is located on one of the four Fari Islands in North Malé Atoll, 45 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport.
Patina Maldives offers 90 contemporary one- to three-bedroom Beach and Water Pool Villas, alongside 20 Fari Studios, all of which embody a harmony of sanctuary and stimulation. From the Fari Studios, a private enclave at the head of the island, to the Beach Collection—seven villas surrounded by lush gardens and sparkling blue waters—you will find a sanctuary to suit every mood. Designed with an emphasis on natural materials using a combination of woods, linens, rattan, paper cord, and natural fibers in different muted colors complementing gray stone flooring, whitewashed timber strips, and wooden slatted ceilings. Artwork ranges from intricately handcrafted design pieces to big-name works such as “Amarta”, an installation from the Skyspaces series by world-renowned U.S. artist James Turrell. The building’s exterior spaces, meanwhile, artfully echo the flowing fronds of the embracing palms, with each space crafted to maximize your enjoyment of sunrises and sunsets or social interaction.
The two-storey Fari Studios sit at the edge of Fari Marina Village, near the heart of the energy. One- and two-bedroomed pool villas are on the sands woven into tropical greenery or out over the calm lagoon, at one with the horizon line. The three-bedroom Beach House offers differing levels and dimensions inside and out, as well as a large garden leading to the beach. This natural world is its own paradise.
Located on Patina, the beating heart of Fari Islands, Fari Marina Village is the central hub that awaits guests from all three resorts located in the Fari archipelago (The Ritz-Carlton and soon to be joined by Capella estimated in 2025). Here, guests can gather to share the experience of restaurants, bars, art and music performances, boutique shopping, events, and social scene. The world-class marina at Fari Marina features a full range of services for superyachts, including 24-hour on-dock refuelling by qualified staff. The Art Gallery exhibits works by local and international artists, providing visitors with an opportunity to purchase artworks or even commission a piece. In the studio, visiting artists record live acoustic sessions for Radio Patina. The fashion boutiques showcase a collection of limited-edition finds by luxury brand partnerships.
The island’s many restaurants explore the experience of flavour, with 7 restaurants, plus pop-up food trucks, a beach club, and bar, to choose from. Portico serves as the all-day dining venue, overlooking the resort’s main beach and pool, offering food inspired by the Indian Ocean. Wok Society pays homage to the iconic dishes of Asia, while Helios celebrates sun-ripened Mediterranean freshness. Roots aims to be a plant-based ode to slow food and purest nutrition. Located at the Fari Marina, Brasa brings theatre through its flame grill and Patagonian spirit, and, Kōen unites Japanese precision with Scandinavian poise. When time is more casual, guests can enjoy Veli Bar’s poolside bites and drinks. Pause and indulge in Italian delicacies at Farine. Choose to dine in the peace of the organic Garden or go for social eats at Fari Beach Club. Or, catch the pop-up food trucks, GOGO Burger, Tum Tum and Tuk Tuk Gelato as they traverse the island. At Fari Beach Club, food and music play out as one offering guests a fun, relaxed luxury experience where they can enjoy the finest artisanal spirits available, and taste culinary creations by master chefs from around the globe.
